Making an appointment

SCC operates an appointment only system. Appointments are made by either telephoning or emailing your details, alternatively you can make an enquiry to us via our form found on the ‘Contact Us’ section of the website. ( We do not offer home visits here at SCC )

Counselling Services operate from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

The initial consultation

We aim to have an initial consultation arranged for you as soon as possible, with ongoing counselling provided promptly after that.

At SCC we have a variety of counsellors with a wealth and variety of experience. This means that we can use our knowledge to select the counsellor and therapy that best fits you.

One of the most important factors in effective therapy is the relationship that you will build with your therapist. Our aim therefore is to give you peace of mind and match you personally with your therapist. 

The cost of Counselling

The initial 90 minute consultation has a set fee of £60 for individuals and £90 for couple’s.

SCC is a registered charity and a non-profit making organisation; we receive no financial support from the Government funding.

Our fees are set at £60 for individual work and £90 for relationship counselling. Our aim is to provide accessible counselling for all and so we can provide a number of places at a reduced rate according to your means. Due to being a small charity, we have to limit the number of low-cost places we provide at any one time, we are unable to guarantee low-cost session fee as there may be a waiting list. If you require a low-cost session fee, please discuss this prior to your consultation. 

Please note, we only offer weekly counselling for individual work and we have a cancellation period of 4 weeks, which is standard across all of our therapy.
